Lori Qingyuan, Yue

Lori has published research papers on how businesses mobilize collective action and how they strategically interact with social movement challenges in markets. Her recent research investigates the economic and social issues in the digital transformation of the economy and in emerging markets. Lori is an associate editor of Management Science and serves in the editorial boards of Administrative Science Quarterly and Organization Science. She was a consulting editor of the American Journal of Sociology and the chair of the Research Committee of the Organization and Management Theory (OMT) Division of the Academy of Management. Lori is also a three-time recipient of teaching awards.

Lori grew up in a small city in Anhui province, China. She obtained her B.A. in economics from Renmin University at Beijing and her M.A. in economics and management from Peking University. Upon obtaining her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University, she joined the USC Marshall School of Business. Lori is married and has two sons, and she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and volunteering.
